The Centre for Healthcare Equipment & Technology Adoption (CHEATA) is part of Clinical Engineering at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. We offer a unique contract-based support service to clinical, academic and commercial med-tech developers to gather evidence for NHS adoption and to help our clients develop devices that are truly NHS-ready.

Our range of expert-led services include identifying and engaging with key opinion leaders, clinicians or healthcare scientists, all aspects of regulatory compliance for medical devices (we don't do medicines, software or apps), health economic assessment and modelling, building value propositions, supporting and managing clinical investigations and engagement with NICE for inclusion into national technology guidelines. Our unique position of being embedded within an NHS service department gives us the insight and knowledge from an NHS perspective in order to develop the medical devices that are truly fit for purpose in the NHS and beyond. Our flexible resource model is based on our pool of expert bank staff and enables us to create the right team for your project.
